If people would have studied Kabbalah the Holocaust would have been prevented

- The Ashlag, author of the Sulam commentary of Zohar said if the Jewish lauders in Europe would have occupied themselves with kabbalah the Holocaust would not have happened.
- This does not mean that the Holocaust was a punishment for not learning Kabbalah.
- The Holocaust occurred as a build up of many different problems. However if people would have studied Kabbalah it's great merit would have prevented, delayed or lessened the coming of the Holocaust.
- Particularly damaging was the fact that even many of the sages of the time did not study kabbalah. They preferred to spend their time chasing the empty logical calculations of Pilpul.
